Hello,

I have a PC with win7. I was always connected with a VGA cable. Now I got a second monitor (both LG LCD M237WAP) and I tried to connect one of them with the HDMI port. I got a very bad graphics on the HDMI connection. I checked the cable on other source and it was ok, I checked the screen on other source and it was also ok. So I concluded that the problem is on my pc HDMI port.

I connected both screens with VGA and DVI and it worked fine.

Now I want to connect a third screen and I need it to be HDMI since its going to my bedroom to watch movies. So I bought after reccomendation in the shop a Saphire graphics card

http://www.sapphiret...1&pid=315&lid=1

and installed it to the motherboard hopefully that it will give me a working HDMI port. When I turned my PC on the original VGA and DVI ports didn't respond but the new ones did so I connected my screens to them and it seems that I get worse graphics now on the VGA and DVI now then on the originals, plus it gives me only one screen twice instead of one big screen one the 2 monitors. I still didn't check the HDMI port.

Can it be that this graphic card gives me worse graphics then my original motherboard?

Why cant the win7 detect the second screen to give me one big screen on both monitors?

Can there be another solution to my problem?

Thank you in advance

possible depends on motherboard/cpu graphics because it is an older type graphics card and graphics solutions make big strides in performance every year.

i'd assume it's because you've installed the graphics card but haven't yet installed the correct drivers for it or you haven't gone into settings and made the correct changes to extend your desktop. :- http://windows.micro...ltiple-monitors

yes go here :- http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

either manually select the correct driver then download and install it or use the automatic detect and install download.

with luck that should solve your problems.

forgot to mention hdmi is a digital signal source and vga are analogue signals so if your trying to connect the hdmi port to anything other than a dvi or hdmi port on the monitors then you are not going to get a picture, you would need to buy a device to convert the digital signal from the pc into an analogue signal the monitor can understand and use to display the picture.

like this :- http://www.amazon.co...r/dp/B008O7RH5C

dvi ports on a pc can output both a digital or analogue signal depending on it's type and why some will work connected to a vga port on the monitor instead of a dvi port on the monitor, but a hdmi port can not do this so will only output a digital signal and needs to be connected to a dvi or hdmi port on the monitor..
