We have a user that leaves her PC on overnight so we can run virus/spyware scans with Panda Endpoint Security.  Every time she does this her .pst file becomes corrupt.  Is there a correlation between the two?  Also her .pst is accessed over the LAN.

Thanks,

Use Scanpst.exe...
After scanpst opens do following:
1. Click Browse and browse to the location of the PST. Or paste the following line in the File name field and click Open. This will open the default PST location in the file browser.
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
This path works in all versions of Windows if Outlook created the pst in the local application data path. If you moved the pst or Outlook 2010 created the pst file in My Documents, you'll need to click Browse.
2. Select your PST from the list (most people will have just one) click Open, then Start to begin testing the PST
When ScanPST is finished running the tests, a dialog reports the errors found. If you need to repair the PST, always make a backup or apply third party software Recovery Toolbox for Outlook https://outlook.recoverytoolbox.com/

Hi,abadifakhiri

There are a lot of online resources discussing about how to recovering corrupt or damaged PST files.

First, the Microsoft offical tool scanpst, also called Inbox Repair Tool, can repair the PST file, you can refer the following articles:

http://office.micros...A010075831.aspx
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/272227
https://support.micr...t.com/kb/287497

Second, there are many third-party Outlook recovery tools you can try, below is a list of them:

https://www.datanume...air/compare.htm

Nearly all these tools provide a free trial so you can try first to see if a tool works before purchase it.

Good luck!
