"Explorer has caused an error in <unknown>.
Explorer will now close"
Now when I start my computer, it shows the Windows Me splash screen, the desktop background loads... and then I get the error popup and nothing else happens. If I 'x' out or press "close", the error message closes but the computer just sits there with the desktop background showing (no icons load). I hit ctrl/alt/delete to check the tasklist and it's blank. It's running nothing?
I tried to boot in safemode via my boot disk, but even in safemode the same error pops up upon startup. Is there a way to start this/fix this with some code/DOS through a C:/ prompt? OR am I pretty much screwed? I also don't have the Windows Me cd-rom disks anymore, as I bet they would probably help get past the error. Any tips/ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Jim
