Hi as the title suggests im needing some help with maintenance on my laptop (running windows vista) the laptop is constantly running slow and crashing also when the computer is not crashed it gets numerous error messages from pages unresponsive and program issues like constant security essentials error messages also windows media player will not play files it shows an error. in short the laptop is practically unusable.

 

I have kept this short due to crashes. i wrote a long topic but lost it all.

MiniToolBox

• Download MiniToolBox and move the executable file to your Desktop;
• Execute MiniToolBox and check the following options:
  • Flush DNS;
  • Report IE Proxy Settings;
  • Reset IE Proxy Settings;
  • Report FF Proxy Settings;
  • Reset FF Proxy Settings;
  • List content of Hosts;
  • List IP Configuration;
  • List Last 10 Event Viewer Errors;
  • List Installed Programs;
  • List Devices - Only Problems;
  • List Users, Partitions and Memory size;
    
• Once this is done, click on Go and wait for the scan to complete;
• Once the scan is complete, a log will open. Please copy/paste the content of the output log in your next reply;
