Win2003 Server and J2SE Error

Whenever I tried to install Java 2 platform Second Edition (J2SE) on my laptop Dell Latitude D600 (Pentium M 1.8 GHz), with win2003 server with SP1,,I received this error screen:

J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 update 1- Setup Type: msiexec.exe – Application Error------This is the tiltle of the screen

The instruction at "0x01ce21d6" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written".

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
