My router setup options provide only the Static IP, Automatic-DHCP
, PPPoE, PPTP, L3TP, and Telstra Cable. Mine is set to
Static IP. This is where I have put my internet information as
provided by the ISP.

Local IP address is 192.168.1.1, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0. DHCP
is Enabled with the starting IP Address 192.168.1.2

I have an advanced setup window that has an Operating mode
set to Gateway, with Router being the only other option.

Here also I can set Static Routing which asks for (Destination LAN IP)
Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway. Now in this Window I have the
Option of [LAN & Wireless] or[WAN (internet)] Here I have tried to select
WAN(internet), but that doesn't work either.

I have always been able to ping Google or any site other
than my ISP. For three minutes after making any changes in the
router, I can ping all sites, after that I can ping any site
except my ISP.

I think there is a Battleswireless.com notch filter hiding in this router.

Here is the real question, after the three minutes, when it can ping everything but your isp, I'm assuming you are trying to ping battleswireless.com only? When you do that, does it resolve it to an IP? If so, what IP is it showing you?? Is it different than the IP that you can ping for your isp during the three minutes?

The following is the transcript of a Live Chat with the user nditt. It was taken from the Live Networking Chat provided by bminnix.com:
edited for relevance:
[Greazy] In your Windows\system32\drivers\etc folder
[Greazy] there is a file called Hosts
[Greazy] open the file mentioned in notepad
[Greazy] below the 127.0.0.1 line, enter this
[Greazy] 206.80.76.20 www.battleswireless.com
[Greazy] but put the same amount of space between those as the previous line
[Greazy] then save the file
[Greazy] at a command prompt, type; ipconfig /flushdns
[Greazy] then try to ping www.battleswireless.com
[nditt] fI don't have a file named Hosts, I have one that is hostname
[Greazy] What operating system?
[nditt] XP
[Greazy] ok, you have a hosts file
[Greazy] start a search
[Greazy] then in tools at the top of page, click folder options
[Greazy] show hidden files, and show system files
[nditt] I have it and am about to edit it
[Greazy] ok, good
[nditt] Didn't work it timed out and came back with the 192.168.0.101 IP
[Greazy] ok, try to ping the ip that i gave you
[Greazy] not the name, just ip
[nditt] Nope, won't work
[Greazy] ok, does it ping google.com now?
[nditt] Yes
[Greazy] try 206.80.76.21
[nditt] Nope
[Greazy] weird, those should be your dns servers
[nditt] My DNS servdrs are 206.80.66.71 & 206.80.64.251
[Greazy] can you ping them?
[nditt] yes
[Greazy] is netlogic a major provider in your area?
[Greazy] or rather, where battleswireless.com is located
[nditt] Not that I know of. Seems I have heard of it but it seems like it was with something we were doing with this router......
[Greazy] ok, try to ping this one, 68.10.16.245
[nditt] Worked ok
[Greazy] enter that as your primary DNS
[Greazy] then do an ipconfig /flushdns
[Greazy] and try again
[nditt] OK
[nditt] Worked fine, however we are still within the three minute window that is there anytime you make a change in the setup of the router. should wait and see
[Greazy] ok, when you ping www.battleswireless.com, what IP does it show?
[Greazy] reply from
[nditt] It worked fine, but we are within the three minute window. Should wait
[Greazy] OK
[Greazy] Been 3 minutes yet?
[Greazy] lol
<-- nditt (customer.netlogic.net) has left #GTGNet
--> nditt (customer.netlogic.net) has joined #GTGNet
[nditt] are you there Greazy?
[Greazy] yep
[Greazy] no go?
[nditt] Screwed that all up lost the chat and had a heck of a time getting back here.
[Greazy] lol
[Greazy] was it something I said?
[nditt] The window should have expired I will try it again......Maybe
[Greazy] what window?
[nditt] I was talking about the 3 minute window that I always have after making changes to the router settings. After changing the prime DNS, the ping worked fine and after the window the Ping did not work.
[nditt] The ping comes back saying pinging ns1.battleswireless.com Is that significant?
[Greazy] yes
[Greazy] that is supposed to be the nameserver for battleswireless.com
[Greazy] ok, when you ping that
[Greazy] does it give you an address, but just time out?
[Greazy] or does it still give you a 192.168.0.101 ip?
[Greazy] or when you ping www.battleswireless.com i should say
[nditt] It comes back with the 192.168.0.101.
[nditt] that sure seems strange the that IP address is so close to the router address of 192.168.1.1
[Greazy] well, those addresses are on seperate networks, but they are both private addresses
[Greazy] that 0.101 is significant in this
[Greazy] can you ping the 0.101 address?
[nditt] no
[Greazy] ok, we need to find out what that 0.101 address is
[nditt] how we do that?
[Greazy] lol, good question
[nditt] since I plug in www.battleswireless.com and it says, pinging 192.168.0.101, I assure that is battles IP address
[Greazy] no, its not
[Greazy] that is the problem
[nditt] I know that there are 100 sites out there that will give you the IP address fronm the name, but haven't found any the other way.
[nditt] If I ask them, wouldn't they tell me?
[nditt] or is that a secret?
[Greazy] well, i've kind of figured out what their ip addresses are
[Greazy] and who they get them from
[Greazy] you are actually a customer of netlogic
[Greazy] battleswireless purchases ranges of public IP addresses to distribute
[Greazy] from netlogic
[nditt] I just remembered where I say Netlogic. When the email times out, it says something about netlogic.
[Greazy] yep
[Greazy] they are routing all their stuff through them
[Greazy] even the DNS servers they give you are netlogics, not battleswireless
[nditt] Well Greazy, I guess I should stop and do something more productive today. If you come up with some ideas I would appreciate hearing from you and I really appreciate all of the time you have spent with me on this.
[Greazy] Lemme know something
[Greazy] All in all, what do you think of this chat Idea?
[nditt] I think it is great. Beats the heck out of waiting a day or two to get infor back and forth.
[Greazy] If more people use it, I will find a better chat program to use
[Greazy] this is just a beta test to see if it would be efficient
