Wireless network without a desktop

I have a two laptops, a router and a DSL connection. Is it possible to set up a wireless network to the DSL connection without any ethernet connection from the router to a computer? The default instructions that came with the router assume there is a hardwire from the router to a desktop. Perhaps I need to get a special kind of router?

Thanks for any help!

Either purchase a router that has built in wireless capabilities, or get a Wireless Access Point and you can connect it to a port on the router and all computers can connect to that.
