Hello, recently I have used clipconverter to convert a youtube video into an mp4 file.

Now, every single time I start my computer, it prompts me to download the exact same file. Over and over and over. The prompt automatically appears on my screen, and forces me to accept downloading a file that I already have (as of now, I have over 7 copies of the exact same video).

Not only this, but it appears that this virus called "ads by gsave" has plagued my Mozilla Firefox. It hasn't affected Google Chrome's browser, but whenever I even attempt to use Firefox, a tab opens up with a voice saying something along the lines of "warning we have detected viruses on your pc please call the number below" (which is obviously a virus itself). So I typically just ex out that tab and continue using Firefox, but whenever I'm just browsing some ads will appear out of nowhere and also whenever I'm googling anything, the results will show up, but then suddenly about 8 links of "ads by gsave" will appear in the search results. So I would have to scroll past those ads to get to what I was actually looking for. Finally, whenever I'm clicking on a link to anything, an extra tab pops up with an advertisement. I can't even use Mozilla Firefox anymore because of the constant closing tabs, ads, and all other things unnecessary.  :bashhead: It is truly annoying.

I have attempted to solve this problem myself by just uninstalling clipconverter cc and gsave, but it's not in my programs for me to do so.  :help:.

So this is essentially the history of my issues. I'm not sure what other information someone would need to help me, but I'm willing to give more if necessary.

Thank you in advance  :D  :D

Go to the Spyware / Malware / Virus Removal forum, read the info there and follow the posted directions. Once you receive a clean bill of health, come back here if you have any additional questions or concerns or it turns out not to be a malware problem.

Please be patient as that is a very busy area. If you do not receive a response in 3 days, post a message here: What To Do If You Have No Response In 3 Days?

Do not reply to your post there as the malware folks look for posts with no replies first.
