Hey all. Started lookinga round at different shopping carts that support multiple vendors on the storefront. Looked at Wordpress but found it really non userfriendly and a complete mess to use. Or at least the WooCommerce extension is anyway, which is the only thing that makes Wordpress workable as a shop. Looked into opencart which is extremely easy to use and much better coded. Problem is I need to download vqmod which many people are having difficulty doing. (If anyone can figure that out, drop a line on the thread!!)

What shopping carts out there are the best to use right now?

Shopify don't provide multi-merchant platform. Exlcart is the other option to consider.

hi

i actualy got a wordpress multi vendor plug in and i am not happy. There is nothing too great in wordpress for multivendor. However, i never used opencart. I don't know any coding. I use visual composer and all the wordpress options. Is opencart just as easy? and how is the multivendor solutioin?

I'd back open cart. But if you need more functionality than the market place, maybe have a look at drupalcommerce (successor of ubercart). Will be more work to set up, but you have all the modules of drupal at your disposal.
I've built little online shops with both (without multi-vendor), and while I had a hard time wrapping my head around the drupal concepts, now I'm a fan boy. Again, open cart is great and much easier to learn.

Megento - Perhaps the most popular open-source shopping cart.
