Also is there any chance you know if this cpu amd Athlon II X4 651K (4 x 3.0Ghz) is compatible with my MoBo Asus F1A55-M LX PLUS R2.0

as im thinking of upgrading from AMD A4-3420 APU to amd Athlon II X4 651K (4 x 3.0Ghz) to help my games run smoother and also speed up my computer all together. Thanks.

My computer specs at the moment :

MoBo - Asus F1A55-M LX PLUS R2.0

Cpu - AMD A4-3420 APU

Gpu - asus gt 730 1gb ddr3

Ram - 4gb

Psu - 300w

According to the CPU support list, your present MB will support the  AMD Athlon IIX4 651, but not the K version, please read about possible BIOS flashing, > http://www.asus.com/...0/HelpDesk_CPU/  Full list, >  http://www.asus.com/...0/HelpDesk_CPU/

I doubt that any CPU upgrade on that platform will make  any differencing to your gaming performance.   What is holding you back more is the video card.  With your present PSU, 300W, the max upgrade would be to a GTX 750 ti.   The improvement would be quite good.   This is the only site I could find making a direct comparison for gaming,

A spec comparison, > http://gamesystemreq...-geforce-gt-730

i looking around a budget of £60 - £70 maybe £80. if you could can you give threw different choices.

i been looking at the radeon hd 7750 it says on amd site min psu watt is 400 w and i have 300w however i have read over internet that its possible to run on a 300w.Here is a example : http://www.tomshardw...45-33-7750-300w

There should be a good fps increase, can't find your games to compare, but this is a good indication, > http://www.pc-specs....-7750-1gb-gddr5

Specs, > https://www.techpowe...on-hd-7750.html

It is important to remove previous drivers and to install the latest ones for your new card.

Go to the video card manufacturers web site, download the latest driver package and save to the desktop,

Download/install  DDU, > http://www.guru3d.co...r_download.html

Restart in safe mode, > run DDU, select "clean and shutdown" from the left windows.

After shutdown, > switch off the PSU, > swap over the video cards, > restart ins safe mode, if the found new hardware starts, cancel it.

Install the new driver package, > restart the computer.
