Tried to download (drivers and software.) Received cannot start app installer  xxxxxx0x0009.

Able to install drivers scanner twain but need the software for full operation. OS XP.Can you help ?

Did you follow the instructions shown there?

 

• Make a temporary folder on your HDD [hard disk drive] as the location to save the downloaded self-extracting file. e.g. C:\brodnt
• Disconnect your Brother machine from your computer if you already connected an interface cable.

I downloaded and started it and it runs okay but this is on my Win 8.1 Pro X64 system. Also just tried it on my XP guest under Oracle VitrualBox and it starts okay there too.
