Hello! As the title says I can't do anything that requires admin privileges on my computer whether it's running a program as admin or deactivting my firewall/antivirus etc etc. Whenever I try to deactivate my firewall/antivirus nothing happens, and when I try to run a program as admin I end up with a window giving me an error message (I'll add a picture of it). I've already been to the malware part of the forum and I got a lot of help from a guy called Emeraldnzl, he did everything he could but the problem still stands. So he sent me here instead because he believes it's a technical issue and not a malware one. I'd appreciate it if anyone has got a solution or is just willing to try and help me. Thanks in advance. Error.png

EDIT: Here is the other topic with ermerald. http://www.geekstogo...virus-included/

1073741515 denotes a missing DLL component... Which is pretty strange. Try looking in event viewer:

  • Start --> Search for "View event logs"
  • Replicate the area
  • Click the dropdown arrow, and see if you can find anything of interest in either the Application or System folder.

Hey Caliburn. Thanks for replying. I don't quite understand what you mean with "Replicate the Area". English isn't my native language. :P

Aha now I understand. Unfortunately that's not possible because opening event viewer requires admin rights, so when I try to start it it just gives me the error. :( Unless I boot into safe mode then it's possible because I don't get the error there. :)

Is your user account an Administrator level account or a Standard user account?

I'm not sure what we **can** do. At this point, I would say backup and reformat. Without admin rights, you're pretty much stuck. Sorry.
