Hey everyone.

Until now, i used a PC computer and I recently bought an iBook G4, and I have a question. I can't figure out a way to save pictures on my computer. For example, if I look for a certain picture and I'd like to save it on my desktop, so I can use it for future needs.
Any possible ways to do that?

Thanks a lot in advance! :tazz:

Pictures from where, the internet? I'm no expert at macs but they are based on Unix so it should be relatively similar. Try right clicking, or control clicking.

Screen capture with Cmd+Shift+3.
Screen capture with selection cursor to choose the area with Cmd+Shift+4.

If you mean use a downloaded file as a desktop picture then copy it to your pictures folder, then right click on desktop and choose "Change Desktop Background..." to bring up the Desktop and Screensavers control panel, choose the Pictures category in the left hand menu and click on the picture on the right.

if you're using a mac - you can drag the picutres to the desktop from any source, whether internet explorer or a photo organizer

- you can therefore select the photos and also drag them into particular folders
