hi out there: My computer will not allow me to setup any kind of antivirus or spyware programs. I keep getting the message " a missing .DLL file, C:\windows\system\wininet.DLL, was not found". I can go online with Netscape but not with internet explorer. I.E. causes athe wininet.dll file message and the an "illegal operation" message and shuts down.
My desktop is blue with the message " A fatal error in IE has occured at 0028:C0011E36 in VXD VMM<01>+00010E36. Error caused by Trojan-Spy.HTML.Smitfraud.c." :tazz:
I have been fighting with this stupid virus for a while now and am ready to burn this computer. Please, if anyone is familiar with this description, give me some advice.
