There used to be an icon or shortcut on my desktop and program listings which enabled me to adjust volume, bass, treble etc.  It also had a function with a toolbox which enabled me to change the setting on the sound card which changed line-in to record.  However the icon no longer shows on my desktop or on the program listing under "Start>All Programs".  How can i retrieve this mixer icon.  Please note that there is an icon on the pc called MIXER but it merely asks me to run the program(this is not the same icon however)  I am not sure if this is part of Nero or Windows Median Player.

What happens if you right-click the Speaker icon in the Notification area (right-end of the Taskbar by the clock)?

It merely shows C-Media control board, but not the mixer that I desire.  However its all academic now as last night i re-installed the API Audio using disc and the icon re-appeared on task  bar beside the speaker icon near the clock
