4 days ago I was able to acess wifi on phone, tablet, belhin and netgear adapters both on seperate desktops running xp. The building has wifi. Suddenly its gone. Signal still reads excellent with 5 bars. It happened first on desktob, then went to all devices. All say can't connect no dnr signal. Have a verizion jet pack, and all 4 will connect fine. Problem is data. 12 gb in 4 days. Tried signal booster before, and it made the building signal inective. Dont have access to the router. Question. Do you think a booster would help now? Should I get a router with ethernet hook ups. Will it work without a wired hook up? Can you get a signal booster with ethernet plugs? Dont know what to do. Just know data is to expensive, and I'm old, and on the cheap. Any ideas?

Is it your WiFi?

If not, is it public WiFi?

If it is public WiFi and you downloaded 12 GB in 4 days, they well may be blocking your access.
