Can you give me some more information?

What were you doing at the time?

Did the computer beep at all?

WHat happens when you shut it off and restart the laptop?

Hello,

Does the screen go black right as you boot it up? Do you see the brand logo or win XP logo?

You could call dell, have them send out a tech person if its still under warranty, but from what you described, I assume that it is not.

The next best thing would be to call computer shops around town and see if they do laptop repairs. Let them look at it and see what is going on.
