power supply shortage(either HDD1,HDD2 or DVD lose connectivity)

sir

    when i connect all three devices i.e. HDD1,HDD2,DVD , after starting any one of the will lose connectivity

    but when i connect only two devices from above two then system works properly,

    after getting suggestion from a person i have replaced the power cable and data cable with a new (three times)        ,but the problem remains there.

       [ i think it is shortage of power supply and need replacement of smps with the HEAVY DUTY SMPS(corsair)]

    

      i am facing this problem from one year , sir please please   please help me

If it's a Desktop computer, replace the power supply (PSU).

one more thing i'd like to ask you,

my one hard disk is pata(160gb) and another is sata(500gb),

is there any (sata to pata) power connecter available in the market?
