There may have been a time many years ago when the same processor was used in both types of computer/motherboard, there are none nowadays that are immediately compatible without modding the motherboard by removing one CPU socket and then soldering in place the type of socket that is required, that in itself is a very difficult undertaking and vastly expensive to have done by a professional tech, you would also need to upgrade to the appropriate BIOS first.

One question is why. You can attach an external monitor, keyboard and mouse to a laptop, if you want to use a lower power computer.
