Hey so I decided to add some more beef to my pc.

I'm upgrading from something crap to a XFX 270X.\

I just have one problem,

I don't know if the PSU will be compatible with my new specs.

Here are my specs: http://support.hp.co...ument/c04117744

Here is the psu I want: http://www.newegg.ca...2276.1436417312

Here is the link to the GPU:

http://www.bestbuy.c...3&skuId=2091002

Hopefully someone can reply,

Thanks

-Regards,

Kronomic

Gday Kronomic,  :welcome:

Existing PSU 300W Dimensions: 150mm x 140mm x 86mm (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches

Proposed PSU 500W Dimensions 3.3" x 5.9" x 5.5" (H x W x L) has 2 x 6+2 PCI-E plugs, Radeon R9 270X compatible.

You are OK to go.

Good luck.

@iammykyl Also, One more thing, the gpu is a 3.0 gpu, and my motherboard is a pci 2.0 x16 I shouldn't see a performance issue what so ever correct? And also how do I know which slot is the pci express x16 slot?

One of the best answers I have come across, > http://www.tomshardw...94698/pcie.html

Your MB is here, >http://support.hp.co...ument/c03757575

It has only one PCI-E slot, the longest one. click on  Motherboard layout, last item on the page,
