I would like to store all my cd music on some form of hardware and be able to play it using my existing stereo system. With that I would like to have a visual display so that I can see and select my desired music.
Advice would be gratefully received.

If you're willing to spend an iPod would be a very good choice, but it doesn't come cheap.

If the iPod is too expensive for you then take an MP3 player, like one of the popular Sandisk Sansa music players.
