problem in starting game

hi, I operate intel pentium dual core cpu.
frequently after installing a game it works
and even works after
reinstalling the pc.but
after turning off the pc and again starting pc,
the game doesnt work.how can I fix it and
why it happens? does this occur due to any
virus?

all I want is replies.

Could you be more specific?

What are you running the game from? (Steam, CD, Origin etc.)
What games are you attempting to run?
Do you encounter any messages when you attempt to launch said game on said platform?
