When I switched on my computer it won't start and after boot screen it shows an message

as you say,

 

PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable

 

If it is desktop then check for cables, ie) SATA or IDE

 

change it and check whether it is booting

Mine is desktop
But I don't see SATA or IDE on first booting device selection

Hi Simon

What dash is saying I think is to physically check the cable from the motherboard to the hard drive. See if it has come loose. Did anything happen to the desktop before you had this error?

Nothing happens before getting this error
I'll check the cable now and I'll be back

And another worst thing is my DVD drive is vanished from Computer (I.e) it shows no DVD drive on windows explorer

You change sata port(in motherboard) or only sata cable ?

 

Did your DVD is viewed on Disk management?

No friend I didn't change anything
I just pressed the cable a little.
Maybe it was in loose connect

And answer to your question is NO
The drive is not shown in disk management

what about booting speed now?

 

Is your DVD is sata connector?

 

Can you post the image of disk management and BIOS?

Booting speed is four times slower than normal

I did not got your picture though i suggest you to change the port for DVD also if still problem exist try to clear the cmos.

If you dont know how to clear the cmos do not hesistate to ask!
