Im planning on building my first gaming pc, and plan to upgrade but only want about a 600 dollar budget, here is my new updated parts list with the OS and the monitor all together. Although you would get passable gaining performance with the AMD A10-7850K (Kaveri) (R7, not R9 graphics), It's gaming performance is just below the Radeon R250 DDR3.

If you use a discrete GPU coupled with an Intel i3 4340, the AMD is soundly beaten. > http://www.xbitlabs....0k_9.html#sect0

My concern would be your upgrade plan.  There is only one upgrade APU, AMD A10 7870K - (Godavari), but the gains are negligible, so not worth later upgrading.   Read the Final Thoughts,   > http://www.guru3d.co..._review,17.html  So the only practical  upgrade would be to add a video card.   Going cheap would be very limiting.

Do you intend to add a video card later?

 

We can give some alternatives.   Please give a budget and we will see if we can configure a better performing and more upgradable build.

I would really like to be at around 600 total

My budget is around 500-600, with 8 gb of ram, 2 tb of hdd, along with a really good monitor i found for $140
