I play a Flash Based game called "WGT Golf".  The swing meter is very sensitive to the amount of CPU's being used.  Using my 'Task Manager' my total CPU usage is under 40% the meter runs very smoothly.  The processes being used are "Firefox", about 10%, and "Flash Player using between 20% and 40% CPU's.  The problem is, often the CPU's jump to between 90% and !00% with no other processes being used and no logical reason for the spike.  When this happens, I cannot play my game because the meter jumps all over the place and makes it unusable.

The question is, what could be causing the spike and what can I do to find it and stop it.
