Hello, I'm trying to resolve a serious infestation problem here. I hope someone can help

Initial Problem:
+No internet or email connectivity.

+ISP pings show connectivity is ok.

+Explorer 6.0 shows about:blank in address bar. When I try to go to Google, it does not go to Google but instead shows a res\\filename.dll where the "filename" changes every time.

What I've done to try and fix the problem:
+Downloaded and ran AdAware and Microsoft Antispyware. Both found Cool Web Search adware and many others. Found and deleted all spyware they found. Same number of files keep showing up each time I run these programs.

+Bought Vcom system suite to clean the registry and clean viruses.

Now, Explorer shows "action cancelled" when trying to connect to the internet. Outlook times out and will not connect. Same Adware still comes up when I run AdAware and MS Antispyware.

Here is my Hijack this log. I am hoping someone can help me figure out how to get my computer back to normal.

Loophole,
Thank you for your response. I posted this for my business partner who had the problem because he did not have internet access due to the virus. The problem has been resolved. We used the about:blank removal instructions from pchell.com. About:blank removal instructions

In addition to that we used a program called Adware Away which seemed to remove some virus and adware problems. HJT was very effective in the end at solving the core problem.

I hope my description of the fix helps someone else with their problems. Glad you responded though. You guys/gals provide a great service here. Keep up the good work and down with all the baddies out there propagating this stuff.

Cheers,
Chad (4names)
