Upgraded to win 10 a few weeks ago and now want to go back to win 7. When I tried the recovery option it said I had added a new account (Administrator) and that I needed to go to accounts/other users and remove this account. There are no accounts listed anywhere other than my one defalt account that I can't remove. I did activate the built in admin account but have since deactivated it using the command prompt. I really don't want to do a format - reinstall of win 7 if I can avoid it. I did not make a disk image before upgrading but do have a file backup to use if I need to do a format - reinstall.

The reason I want to go back to win7 is because when I built this box I used a 120Gb SSD for my boot drive © and it appears that the option to install new apps to a drive other than C has been disabled in win10. This option being disabled is the final straw for me. I did try to like win 10 and may upgrade in the future if this option is enabled.

Thanx in advance for any help and-or insight yoy can provide.

Try: moving the c:\users\administrator folder to somewhere else, like to a temp folder.
