Hi, I have a problem with my computer. Lately it's been running really slowly but since I upgraded to windows 10 it's just constantly not responding. I have up to date antivirus and I've defragmented it recently. It's been ccleaned too. Last time I turned it on it wouldn't even display my desktop icons and wouldn't open any programs. After that, Norton displayed an error 8504.104 but wouldn't do anything about it so I tried to shut it down and it wouldn't shut down.

Besides that, the controls on my touchpad stopped working upon installing new windows and it also displays error messages saying that it's incompatible with the control panel.

Help would be really appreciated.

What OS did you upgrade from, Windows 7 or 8.1, 32 or 64 bit?
 
If I was in your place I would save my data then do a Clean Install of Windows 10: Windows 10 - Clean Install
Then check Device Manager and find drivers for any devices with yellow marks next to them, like your touchpad.

Clean installing Windows 10 is the best thing for you to do at this point. Just make sure you backup you data first. An image backup to an external hard drive using Macrium Reflect Free is the best way to do this.

 

Then follow the directions in the link I posted.
