OK, so I have a ton of movies on my hard drive, and now after a couple of years they look bad.  The data have obviously degraded. However, when I play the same files, saved on the same date, from a flash drive, the movies look fine.  Can someone explain?

Hello Homespon  :welcome:

You have same datas on two different drives, that copied on same time?

Did you check your hard disk for errors?

Try chkdsk /f /r in elevated command prompt.

Also run sfc /scannow in command prompt.

Post back if you have doubts regarding this.
