Forgive the rather immature "first post", pandering with a question to the community, but we all start some where.

 

Very recently, I purchased my first tablet, ever! I made the choice to go with a Windows Device, the 2-1 Next book, to be exact. And I am blown away at just how cute, powerful and fun this device is, my only problem is i just cant figure out how to turn off the hard-keyboards mouse, off ( i prefer a usb mouse), that all being said....I was wondering.

 

Being a Tablet "noob", is it possible to add Ram to a tablet? While the NxB comes with 2gs (very solid) its quad core is blowing me away with power and tempting me to want to add more to this little bugger (its so cute!! ^.^).

 

Let me add, I have heard alot about how tablets and smart phones "cant be modified", but this isnt a "real' tablet, because its a windows not a android device.

 

So!

 

Can I perhaps add some hardware to this little bugger?

for the mouse, I assume you mean the touchpad. typically in the keyboard/mouse settings in control panel there will be an option to disable the touchpad if a USB mouse is connected. so, maybe dig around in the settings of the keyboard/mouse settings in control panel

 

for the second one, just because it's running windows doesn't mean it's not a tablet. the inability to upgrade hardware in these devices is because of the form factor, not the operating system. THEORETICALLY you MIGHT be able to open the thing up though, they're generally constructed in such a way that doing so will A: void your warranty and B: be virtually impossible to do without special tools (or without breaking the thing in such a way that you can't put it back together). some tablet type devices also have permanently attached hardware that you can't remove without desoldering it from the board. so...long story short...not likely a thing you can do
