I took the windows 10 upgrade, it reached around 30% then stopped and left a blank screen with 'no operating system' top left corner.

I too it to a local 'specialist' who got is started agian, he said it automatically reverted to windows 7 and all my files and programs everything was gone.

I have tried using data recovery tools like diskdigger and easeus data recovery wizard. They have produced nothing only temporary internet files. It finds nothing at all from prior to the upgrade.

Have my files vanished forever??????

If it automatically reverted to Win 7 then your files should still be there.

Have you look at the accounts showing under C:\Users? Maybe one of them is your old account with all your data.

I think your "specialist" did something to cause the loss of data. Just a suspicion, no proof.

If data isn't there it's gone.

Is there a Windows.old folder anywhere?
