This has been happening for a long time now, but I have always chose to neglect it. Several days ago, my laptop Lenovo SL500 got a BSOD:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Technical info:
STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x00000030, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x90E4C8A5)
athr.sys - Address 90E4C8A5 base at 90E0A000 , DateStamp 4acea1f4
Strange thing is that this happens randomly and I really don't know why cry.gif
I have attached the dump file:

Thank you very much!

Hello dangmanhtruong  :welcome: ,

Did you start your pc in safe mode and experience this issue?

From when the problem starts? Did you install any new software or hardware prior to the issue start happening?

No i just started normally and it just simply crashed :( . And i dont't even know when this happens, I mean everything is just random, it doesn't even make sense. But I have given a dump file right? Can you diagnose the symptoms for me?

Are there any other dumps in C:\Windows\minidump? This one indicates a driver problem but not which one.

Did your system have any restore points? Did you post what you seen there?

As i ask you in post #5 did you see restore points?

Read the tutorial entitled how to do a system restore It will show you what is available System Restore and post back how many restore points you see and what it was?

Two of the dumps indicate athr.sys as the cause. That belongs to the Atheros Wireless Lan driver. Try updating that to the latest level available.

I'm afraid I can't. Whenever I try to update the driver using Device Manager, I always encounter the Blue screen of death (I tried to update 3 times, and it always crashed, while normally it doesn't crash that much). Maybe I should roll back the device?

Here is the latest minidump. Thank you very much

Attached File  Minidump Windows 7.rar   184.46KB   253 downloads

P/S: There was only 1 system restore point, and It was my recent windows update (the crash has been happening long before that).

The last two dumps also indicate athr.sys as the cause of the failure.

What does Device Manager show for your LAN and Wireless LAN devices?

Can you post a screen capture of that?

Also, are you running 32 or 64 bit Windows 7?

When I look at the SL500 all I see is Intel for Wireless, not Atheros so I'm a bit confused.

It's 32 bits Windows 7. And here is what I see on Device Manager:
