Hi

We are thinking of building a HTPC, it  won’t be used for much more than HD cable TV, net streaming and the usual music and picture storage/viewing.  We want front USB3.0, more than two SATA sockets and preferably onboard WIFI (ac).

I had been looking for mITX motherboards and had picked the Asrock H97m-ITX/ac because it is H97 and has ac WIFI.  I thought a Pentium G3320, 2x 3.0 GHz 53 watt would complete the combo.

I have ordered a cheap case that can accomodate both mITX and mATX boards so now I  am thinking a mATX board might be an idea.  However, if we go with a mATX we will also need to buy a WIFI solution

I have looked at a number of boards and because of the need to also buy WIFI, I have narrowed the search to two "cheaper" mATX Intel 1150 and FM2+ AMD boards.

AMD = http://geizhals.de/a...yz-a994774.html

  Perhaps with an AMD A6-7400K Black Edition 2x 3.5GHz Kaveri 65 watt.

Intel = http://geizhals.de/a...y5-a981427.html

Also, I have been looking at PCIe WIFI cards and have narrowed it to the following two;

I would appreciate your views, is there a better MB-CPU combo, and it would be a big help if anyone has some thoughts to share about PCIe WIFI options.

Regards.

Edit, for corrections.
