I have tried just about everything in my knowledge base. I uninstalled my office 2013, because there was an error message when I would attempt to open documents and it would close down. I have tried to reinstall it several times with several error messages. I finally get it to start to download and about half way through I receive an error message that windows had encountered a problem, and is closing. We will attempt to find a solution.

Having said that, I never fully get office downloaded. Any suggestions? Is there anything that I can run that one of you can read, and possibly tell me where the problem is. I've ran tweaking windows repair, with no errors. I've also tried to go to control panel, and repair it basic with errors, then repair from online with errors.

Hello data_dumb  :welcome: ,

If you unable to install a software run system Update Readiness Tool for windows 7 or system Update Readiness Tool for Windows 8/8.1 and then try to install office again and post back!

Attempted to install office again with the same results. Half way through download, an error message that windows has experienced and error and is closing. One thing that is strange, I wanted to screen print the page so that you all could see the error message at what point. All of the programs ran by windows had "error" in light purple writing beside them on the apps page (not the program files page).

Is there a program that I can run and post the results here that one of you could possibly identifiy a corrupt or missing file? I have finally been able to download office without any errors, but I still cannot open any documents. As soon as the document opens I receive an error message that microsoft office has experienced an error and is shutting down, then another box that states it will search for the problem and solution and notify me. It never does. I have been at this from several different directions, and tried the several suggestions from other office posts on this forum with no luck.

Tell me what to run, and I will do it. This is obviously beyond my level of understanding (and that isn't too high to begin with). Thank you.

Try this,

In Elevated command prompt run as administrator,

Dism_/Online_/Cleanup-Image_/RestoreHealth

(note the space as _ after 'dism" & "online" & "image")
