Skype won't sign in

I live on the US East Coast and my Skype won't sign in, is there something wrong with Skype atm?

Hello,

 

Yes. Skype is Down at the moment and it says "We are aware of an issue affecting Skype status at the moment, and are working on a quick fix" in twitter page.

Ok so it seems the probelm is not on my end.

 

EDIT-It came back on for a minute then went back out.

The problem with skype itself not with yours! 

 

Have to wait for sometime until they fix the issue!  :)

Its the age of Viber and Facetime dude. Go use them they are pretty good. And now whatsapp is also not far away. And facebook too :P

I prefer IM to voice and video chat.
