Hello all. I've looked around other topics and not sure I'm finding a solid answer.

It's a Vista Home Premium computer, about 7 years old but it has no viruses/malware and I consistently run Ccleaner, Ausologics Defrag, and Avast Cleanup and Windows Update. I can't really say how long into the computer use that it freezes up but I can't do anything unless I hard restart. I'm currently hanging out in Safe Mode so I can avoid the issue. So I wonder if I just need to get a new computer at this point or maybe there's dust or something inside the case.

I'm waiting for my brother to come over and handle the pc tower. And as far as malware goes, all I know is that Geek Squad's scanner, Avast, Malwarebytes, and SuperAntiSpyware turn up nothing so I think I'm likely ok in that area.
