last attempt to save my pc

Hi all, well this is my last attempt at saving this pc. the spec of the pc is - Zoostorm - Model ECS G31

Intel core 2 quad CPU Q9300@ 2.50Ghz
4 GB RAM
32 bit operating system

A while ago my hard drive failed so i bought another one and installed vista, went through all the updates but it still has issues. My issues are random, i can start the pc and sometimes it hangs on the logo, other times it starts. When im on desktop it can run fine, going from one program to the next without issue, other times it takes forever to open anything. On the net with google chrome, it runs fine then suddenly as i just had, it freezes, i get page unresponsive or i get the timer spinning around with waiting for cache at the bottom of the screen. if i attempt to download, it runs fine then it's like i have lost connection and it stops only to start again.

Where do i start please in fault finding. any help in sorting this would be greatly appreciated.

just to add i ran sfc/scannow this morning and an error was found and fixed and a log created, i just dont understand the log and unsure if its safe to copy and paste the log on to here or not?

 

the more i use this today the more i am finding opening programs etc, i am getting page unresponsive and then it clears.

I read through some old posts of mine and tried to see if i can see any faults. I ran a diagnostics via western digital and the hd came back as a pass so all good. I have just ran vino's with these results, advice please
