Hi,
I recently started to have issues with my PC not starting up as it should. When I turn on the computer the power light is on and I can hear it "working" but it doesn't boot up the OS, the monitor and keyboard do not respond.
The strange thing is that if I leave it in that state (sometimes for up to an hour) it will randomly kick in on its own, and start up as normal (or on a couple of occassions hang on the Advent screen).
Once the PC is running it is fine, no issues at all. If I restart the PC from that point it will restart as normal, no issues. If I turn the PC off though, and leave it off for a significant period of time (overnight) it will not start up properly, and I have to leave it "on" for a long time and wait for it to randomly start up.
I run CCleaner on a regular basis, ran a couple of Malware/Adware programs too, as I had recently picked up that "Safesearch nasty" (I don't think this is the issue). I also tried the Startup Repair, and a couple of System Restores, but none of that has seemed to have worked.
I was going to try a complete Factory Reset on the machine, but thought it best that I came here to at least try to determine if this was a Hardware or Software issue. PC Specs are as follows:
