Saving movie in windows movie maker

I can make a movie but when I save it with windows movie maker I get to 58% and 20 seconds left and it seems to freeze up. I have waited on it for 30 min and there is no change in the window so I MUST be freezing up.

I have a dell dimension 3000 . running xp can anyone help
