Do you know where it extracted the files to ? Or did it actually install the fix ?

I got a couple crashes after my last post.  I had to leave for the day and now I'm going to be away for a couple days due to a death in the family.

I'm so sorry it has taken me this long to get back on this.  I've had a lot of things to get caught up on taking a week off from life.

I've experienced several blue screens in the few times I've been online.  I wrote down the last few:  DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR EQUAL, and KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE.

OK lets try a cleanboot to see if we can determine which service/driver is misbehaving

Step 1: Start MSConfig

Click Start, type msconfig in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or provide confirmation.

Step 2: Configure Selective Startup options

1.In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click Selective Startup on the General tab.

2.Click to clear the Load Startup Items check box.
Note The Use Original Boot.ini check box is unavailable.

3.Click the Services tab.

4.Click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box.
5.Click Disable All, and then click OK.
6. When you are prompted, click Restart.
7.Is the computer behaving ?

Could you remove one of the memory sticks, reboot and see if that stops the BSOD

Forgot to ask.  I have two extra memory cards, does it matter which one I remove?  Or should I remove both?
