After running Spybot rootkit scan on my wife's laptop it listed two registry files as follows:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\CurrentVersion\Applets\SysTray\BattMeter and
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\SecurityCenter\ as both having "No admin in ACL".
I am not very knowledgeable about registry items and have had many problems over the years when I removed them without knowing what I was doing. When in doubt now I usually leave them alone, but these are flagged red by Spybot. I tried using the Spybot forum to no avail. My wife's laptop is running Windows 7 Home Premium Edition. It is an HP Compaq Presario CQ 57. It has anAMD C-300 Quad core processor ,8GB RAM,300GB HDD. Should I just leave these alone? The system checks out otherwise with no unusual performance problems.

What you describe means that these items are locked from being changed even if you are an admin. There's nothing unusual with it - some registry entries require higher level privilages than admin ones.

I suggest to ignore these detections.

Thank you Naathim. I believe I will take your advise. Initially this was my first thought on the problem. Thanks again for assisting an old computer freak. I am 73 years old and I try to learn something new everyday and keep busy. Such a regimen will keep you young at heart.
