Alright, I have been a windows user since Windows 95 and only recently I have had thoughts about purchasing a MacBook. I have a few very basic questions about it.

-Does it have compatibility issues like the iPhone? As in, do I have to change my existing Hard Drives, mouse, data cables?

-Does it have all the basic applications like VLC, adobe reader, uTorrent, IDM, Skype, Recuva etc

-How does it hold up in a couple years. battery and performance wise?

-Also, I have an android phone. Is data transfer any different?

Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
