Hello Geeks,

 

I just purchased a new laptop with Windows 10.  I got it set up, crapware removed, AV systems set and needed programs installed.  Using Revo Uninstaller, I noticed there are 11 different Visual C++ files pre-installed with various release dates.  What if any do I need to keep.  My daughter is a college student and may do some statistics, but doubt if programming is in her immediate future.  I have attached a screen shot of the installed programs.

 

Any help is appreciated.

We understand they were pre-installed with Windows 10, along with a lot of other software that depends upon the presence of the various versions.

 

Unless you're really desperate for space, the amount of analysis necessary to determine which programs are using the respective Visual C++ versions, and whether some of those versions are no longer necessary, is just more effort than it's worth.
