Our desktop computer will not start up properly. It shows the startup screen briefly then goes to a black and white screen that says windows loading files. It gets stuck at AHCIX86S.SYS.

Tried using FRST.EXE, but it won't find the flash drive. I can't get past the windows loading files problem.

Have tried F8 interruption, but even safe mode doesn't get me past it. Have tried F11 system setup. No luck.

Help please!

Did you come to any solution?

I'm experiencing the exact same issue!

Old computer that has been in the attic for years!
