I am at my wits end - is this a valid file for Vista?

windows/winsxs/x86_eventviewersettings_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6000.16386_none_f2c1160b06c8132e

I need to ftp files to server but afraid to.  Have Norton 360, but still feel something is wrong.

I have never used forums before.  I don't know how to get the information you need to see.

Please advise - Thank you.

:welcome:    henafen,

Do you have any reason to believe that your computer has malware, only the security experts on the removal forums can help you if the answer to my question is yes, let us know and if it is required I will provide the GTG malware redirection information for you.

You are welcome  :)

Please refer to the GTG malware redirection information below;

I suspect that you have some malware on your computer causing issues that we are not able to solve through means we can use here in the Tech Forums. I suggest you read the 'Start Here' topic found here. With these self-help tools you have a high chance of fixing the problems on your own. If you are still having problems after following Step 3 of the guide, continue with Step 4 and 5 and post in the Malware Forum. If you are unable to run any programs, Please create a topic stating what you have tried so far and that you are unable to run any programs. Also, Please do NOT post the logs in this thread.

If you are still having issues after the malware expert gives you a clean bill of health, Please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

Thank you so much for your help - I finally gave up and reinstalled the system.

I have watched what you all do at this site, and admire those that help us "beginners".

Hope you have a wonderful turkey day.
