When I click search after start and enter name with 1 day the search glass retates for 2 seconds and stops with no documents identified. What to do?

Sounds like it simply couldn't find whatever you typed in that was altered in the last day. Try typing in something different and/or eliminating the "1 day" search part.

Try using Windows' System Restore to roll Windows back to a point in time when your computer was functioning correctly. It allows you to undo system changes without affecting your personal files, such as e-mail, documents, or photos.

If that doesn't help, try restoring an earlier system image or backup.
