Hello,

My son's Toshiba has an unusual mousepad failure.  If I reboot, it works for a while, about 3-5 minutes depending on what I'm doing, then stops.  Fortunately it's a touch screen, but this has to be fixed.  I'm not sure where to begin.  I just had a Geek clean the machine because of unrelated malware issues, so we know it's clean.

Satellite L-15W.

Still windows 8 despite trying to utilize the free upgrade to 10.  Can't see to get the invite to actually arrive.

What else do you need to know to get started?

That didn't work. I'm open to suggestions please.

Thanks.
Adam

PS  Sorry for the long delay between replies. I didn't have my son's laptop with me for a while.  Anyway, I've got time today with it and would love some help if at all possible.  THANKS!!!

This issue may occur due to incompatible or corrupted touchpad drivers on the computer. I would suggest you to visit manufacturer website and update latest touchpad driver for Windows 8.

I'm happy to report that after downloading a new mouse pad driver, so far (5 minutes) the mouse pad seems to be working!!!

I'll work on this a bit more and report back if that is not the case.

Thanks again, as always.

That was a funny coinky-dinky!  Yes, that upgrade seems to have worked. I did try that before posting, but must have not had a good link to check my driver.

Thanks again.
