Hey I have a HP 6653w and want to overclock it. The only thing different than the base specs is added Ram to it. Have 10 instead of base five. Specs are here!!

:welcome: tattoosocially.

Yes, you could O/C the CPU,, but with provisos.

The MB and BIOS need features to enable overclocking.   Don't think you will have much luck with that Foxconn board, HP Dell and such use OEM parts, It  probable has features removed and modified BIOS.   they don't allow O/C..   Same would apply for RAM.,

For ease of overclocking, a unlocked CPU, Black edition, is best, yours is locked, so you would have to do it manually, that takes a bit of work and experience, and a different MB.

The usual reason for O/C the CPU is to better support a video card.   Your specs do not include a add on one, so do  you have another reason to O/C?

Specs also say you have a 250W PSU, instilling a GPU would require an upgrade to a 500/550W one.
