Hi I wish to delete unopened emails

I did receive an answer on another thread which I now cannot locate on the forum,

this was to right click on the email to be deleted, this will then activate the delete button

Clicking the delete button appears to open the email as I explained in the original post,

I have one email which I suspect may contain a virus

OS Win 10

Browser Google Chrome

I think that was my suggestion. What I meant was to right click on the E-mail and select Delete from the drop- down list.

Also, try holding down the Ctrl key then click on the E-mail. That should select it but not open it. Then press the Delete key to get rid of it.

Hi Ztruker

I find Both Methods show  the email in the opened area including the message add  to safe senders list

Another problem I notice is that when an opened email is deleted the next unopened one in the list opens

Hi Mamn,

if you have the preview pane open then effectively you are opening the email....

if you turn off the preview and only use plain text (rather than HTML) for your email it should provide the result you are looking for
