Basically my old hard drive broke, I brought it to the shop and they fixed it. All is good until I try installing my steam games - they wouldn't install I then tried to install java, minecraft but to no avail.

Anyone have any idea what the problem would be? Java said "cannot proceed with the current internet settings" and steam said "connection timed out". Here are some screenshots, if they're any use.

Java: https://gyazo.com/8a...985a91fad2e4982

Steam: https://gyazo.com/30...8a444ce5ce6157a

I'm using Chrome; I tried uninstalling chrome and steam, nothing is working.

I just got my PC back today and the man installed Chrome and Ad-block for me. I'm thinking it could be a problem with my internet settings (connected via ethernet cable) but then again I was able to install gyazo so i'm unsure at this stage.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
